Waiting For Mr Right Can Be Wrong?

I don’t quite consider myself a bra burning feminist, but I do have my moments. One of these moments came on the weekend whilst reading The Daily Telegraph and coming across an article titled, “ Waiting For Mr Right Can Be Wrong”. What? I am one of those women who is waiting for Mr Right and has experienced many Mr Right Nows and Mr Wrongs, so seeing this over my morning coffee startled me.   The first sentence read, “Aussie women are being urged not to be too proud in their search for Mr Right, as new research reveals many are shocked to find it hard to conceive after 35. “    A woman’s body clock is her wost enemy. We are biologically wired to procreate, but also these days have been educated to want more than just babies and breast feeding. We are now in the era of the…

Happy Mardi Gras – But Is It Still Illegal Somewhere To Be Gay?

Tomorrow is the Mardi Gras Parade! One of my favourite times of the year. However, this celebration is one loaded with conflicts and opinions. Everyone has their say, politics comes into action, and sometimes I feel we forget just how lucky we are to be living in a country where we are even able to have such a celebration. After this article was posted on twitter, I was sent the link to a film on circumcision done by a jewish documentary film maker. As a jewish female, I really sit on the fence with circumcision and are fascinated by how someone from the same religious upbringing feels about the subject.   I have read the literature against and for it, but also are influenced by a cultural side where all jewish baby boys are circumcised. I also recently attended my first bris, which was an eye opening experience. The thing that got to me the most was not what was going on to the baby, but the nerves and anxiety of his mother.   I also feel that especially in Australia, circumcision is nearly seen as the norm,…

How To Check Your Vagina And Vulva

I’m going to be straight up and warn you there is nudity in this clip and lots of it. This clip also shows a real every day vulva and one that does not belong to a porn star.  In the last two blog posts I’ve spoken about things you can do to your vulva, spas, facials, labia dye etc .In these articles I’ve spoken about vulva health and that we should be paying more attention to down there.   But it occurred to me that checking our vulvas and vaginas ( yes you need to check both) is not often something we are taught and not often something we talk about. Do you know how to check your vulva and vagina? Do you know ever what you are looking for? Since my choice in life is to educate others about sexuality, I felt it was my job to share this…
